CELTA Online

Covid-19 Response:

At the beginning of the global outbreak of Coronavirus Covid-19, we strengthened our commitment to the health and safety of every member of our international community by running the CELTA course fully online. This was with the approval and support of Cambridge Assessment. Over the course of the pandemic, Teaching House was at the forefront of online pedagogy and now our CELTA online course is a tried, tested and viable alternative to the face-to-face equivalent.

What is the Cambridge CELTA Online Course?

The Cambridge CELTA Course Online (or CELTA Online) is a flexible way to take CELTA. It leads to the same CELTA qualification and is assessed and moderated according to the same criteria.

Like the face-to-face CELTA course, CELTA Online will be 120+ hours of training. You will complete 6 hours of assessed teaching practice in groups in an online environment, from the comfort of your home!

What are the benefits of CELTA Online?

Accessible: Because the course is a 100% online, there will be no accommodation or travel costs! Thus reducing your overall expenses.

Cambridge Assessment English has approved and is working to support centres to deliver all aspects of the course electronically/online.

Our Trainers are all trained to teach online and will equip you with a robust digital toolkit for the virtual classroom. Get the skills employers are looking for.

CELTA Online leads to exactly the same certificate as the face-to-face CELTA.

CELTA candidates are required to pay a non-refundable $200/£100/ $250 AUD enrolment fee. Once payment of the enrolment fee has been made, we confirm a place on the course of your choice, subject to places still being available.

Pay this year for the 2024 price, even for a 2025 course!

No application fee:

There is no fee to apply for the Teaching House CELTA, and applicants are in no way committed to taking the course after submitting an application. Because places are limited on our CELTA courses (the maximum ratio of trainees to teacher trainers is 6:1), it is advisable to apply for a place as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Books and materials:

CELTA Trainees can choose to buy a methodology book and grammar book, but these are not required (information on these books will be provided during the application process). This is completely optional, and we have copies of these books available at all of our face-to-face centers.
