A modern, cosmopolitan city, Mexico City is actually situated in an old lake basin surrounded by volcanic mountains. Mexico City still exhibits much of the evidence of the different cultures that have inhabited the city throughout centuries past. The pre-Hispanic remains of Aztec art and culture can be seen in the preserved ruins throughout the city
Mexico City's CELTA training center is located in Colonia Condesa, a beautiful and prosperous neighborhood dating back to the turn of the 20th century. Lovely homes from that period, as well as modern buildings and parks can be found in abundance here. The school is located in a colonial building which has 10 classrooms, a beautiful terrace where students can socialize, and a computer room where students and teachers can do their work and access the internet.

Monday to Friday 9:30 - 19:00
Sometimes trainees will have to stay at the center from 7 pm to 9 pm in order to observe real classes of experience CELTA qualified teachers.

INCLUDED FOR ALL CELTA CANDIDATES:
All Mexico CELTA candidates receive a complimentary 20 hours of Spanish lessons, and for those looking for work locally, exclusive access to a network of employers in Mexico, with preferred applicant status once graduated.
Because places are limited on the Teaching House CELTA (the maximum ratio of trainees to teacher trainers is 6:1), it is advisable to apply for a place as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

What are the accomodation options?
TH/IH Mexico City can arrange accommodation to suit the needs (and pockets) of all our students and there are three categories of accommodation.
MEXICO CITY ACCOMMODATION
- CELTA + Accommodation + Airport Pickup $2,375
- CELTA + Accommodation + Airport Pickup + half-board $2,600
MEXICAN HOST FAMILIES
Host Family accommodation is available throughout the year. All host families are carefully selected by our Accommodation Department and all agree to fulfill the following conditions:
· Provide students single rooms, comfortably furnished, have adequate lighting facilities and a desk or table where students can work
· To make a daily bath or shower available
· To provide and adequate continental breakfast and-for those students who are being accommodated on a half-board basis a substantial dinner at night.
· To provide students with a door key so that they can let themselves in and out.
Most families live within a 20 minute walk from the school, very occasionally a family may be up to 15-20 minutes from the school by public transport.
TH/IH Mexico City has furnished apartment for rent, which students can share with other students, or rent for their own, exclusive use. The normal minimum period for renting an apartment is 2 weeks, although shorter rentals can sometimes be arranged on request; also is very important to consider if there are flats available or not. These apartments are entirely self-catering, which means that no meals are provided. Students have their own individual bedroom, which apart from a bed contains a wardrobe. Each apartment also has a kitchen, bathroom and living room and/or terrace.

BED AND BREAKFAST AND HOTELS
Mexico City has the nation’s largest tourist service infrastructure, with over 600 lodging establishments in every category, throughout the city, many of which are within a 10-30 minute walk of the school.
Many of the largest hotel chains serve Mexico City; additionally, there are youth hostels, motels and guest houses featuring quite economical rates and here you will find some recommendations.
We are located a short Metro ride away from everything Mexico City has to offer. This includes the beautiful Bosque de Chapultepec, one of the largest city parks in the Western Hemisphere, as well as the National Museum of Anthropology and Chapultepec Castle. Located an equal distance from both the Patriotismo and Chilpancingo Metro allows CELTA trainees to explore a variety of accommodation options and to explore the largest city in Mexico!
