DELTA makes a difference

After I’d finished my DELTA, I stayed at a language school in New York, but I started to go in a more administrative direction, taking over responsibility for the Cambridge exams at our center, standing in for the DoS when necessary, and working on updating our center’s test banks. I’ve also run several PD (professional development) sessions for our teachers. I am currently being trained as a teacher trainer, and will be running CELTA courses this summer! I love the variety that DELTA has given me.

Testimonials

Read personal accounts from alumni who have completed the Teaching House DELTA. How the course content and Cambridge qualification have helped develop their careers in ELT
I recently completed and passed my DELTA Module 1 course. I am over the moon as this test has always been one of my fears and I had been putting it off for so long. Helen, my tutor, was amazing and really helped me out.  I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only did I pass because of this course but also my teaching has skyrocketed and I feel I have grown so much more as a teacher.
- PAUL
I did the Blended DELTA program, where Modules 1 and 3 were done asynchronously and Module 2 was done live online. I found the course materials helpful and relevant, and my tutor, Paula, was excellent - she provided in-depth feedback in a very timely fashion, and was consistently available to me, even though she was working in a different timezone. I couldn't have asked for a better online tutor! For Module 2, the live sessions were ideal as I got to ask questions there and then. Honestly, before Delta I didn't even know what I didn't know! Now, I feel like I can actually teach.
