Belfast is one of the safest cities in Europe, and the people are famous for being open, warm and friendly. Visitors are made welcome wherever they go. The city is upbeat, looking confidently to the future, from the revitalised city centre to the brand-new Titanic Quarter.
You’ll find plenty to discover, from art, history and green spaces to fine dining, great pubs and cosy cafés. Explore the city on foot, on your own or with a fascinating walking tour, or browse some of the finest shops anywhere in the UK. Enjoy riverside walks, picnics in the Botanic Gardens and mini-hikes to McArt’s fort on the Cavehill. Enjoy a Guinness and some traditional Irish music or live rock bands in The Limelight and Students’ Union. Start the day with an Ulster fry, snack on seafood chowder and delicious wheaten bread for lunch, and then sample some modern Irish cuisine for dinner. Northern Ireland is well-known for its fresh, local flavours. Or you can escape the city and explore further afield by visiting the world-famous Giant’s Causeway or discovering where the magnificent Mourne Mountains sweep down to the sea. And you’ll get to do more than just admire the view. Across Northern Ireland you’ll find facilities for outdoor pursuits such as hiking, fishing, sailing, canoeing and golf. It’s all here waiting for you, once you finish your CELTA lesson-planning, of course.
Our newly refurbished building keeps all of its Victorian charm with original features such as stained-glass windows and impressive wooden carving and stucco work. The school has 12 bright, spacious classrooms over four floors, a study room, computers for your use, kitchen and dining area, and an attractive courtyard. We also have a library of CDs, DVDs and books for you to borrow. And we’ll keep you connected with free Wi-Fi throughout the building.
All CELTA trainees have access to: free printing and photocopying; board pens, paper, card and all necessary stationery; unlimited use of computers; use of interactive whiteboards; an extensive library of teaching materials and reference books related to EFL teaching and language; and advice and support from our teaching and admin staff who have a huge range of experience in all aspects of EFL.

COURSE FEES:
The Teaching House Belfast CELTA full-time course costs a total of £1,495 GBP and part-time courses are £1,530 GBP
Teaching House does not charge people to apply to the course, and applicants are not in any way committed to taking the course. THERE IS NO APPLICATION FEE.
Because places are limited on the Teaching House CELTA (the maximum ratio of trainees to teacher trainers is 6:1), it is advisable to apply for a place early.
CELTA Trainees are advised to buy a methodology book and grammar book (see Recommended Books). Apart from this, there are no other costs during the Teaching House Cambridge CELTA course.

Sandhurst House
Sandhurst House - Belfast
TH Belfast offers housing at the nearby Sandhurst House. A newly build block of apartments situated around the cornerfrom IH Belfast, the Sandhurst House is ideal for CELTA trainees as it is a short 5 minute walk from the center. You'll also find yourself amidst the shops, bars and restaurants that make Belfast great!
Each flat is furnished and has a fridge, washing machine, TV, oven and dishwasher. You'll also have access to towels and linens as well as free WiFi.
Prices :
1 bedroom apartment (not shared): £ 145 per week – extra night £24
2 bedroom apartment ‐ £120 per week/ per person per room ‐ extra night £21
An Accommodation placement fee of £45 will be charged to all students who use accommodation provided by IH Belfast.
All accommodation is arranged from the Sunday evening before the course begins until the Saturday morning after the course ends. The prices quoted are for the same period.
